Today Sloth Nation was on iwearyourshirt.com!  Jason and Evan wore our shirts and just slothed around.  Check out their website for the very funny footage, and check out our website to get all the cool stuff they’re talking about.  Keep Slothin!

Unwind on Wednesday

Hey Sloth Nation!  It’s Wednesday, the official middle of the week, hump day, two more days until the weekend.  Depending on how your week is going, you might already be wound up pretty tight.  Work/school/life stress can really build up, but if you just channel your inner sloth, you get get through anything.  Here are some of our favorite ways to unwind mid-week.  What is your favorite way to cut loose?  Post your answer-the most creative, Slothin’ idea gets a free Find Your Inner Sloth shirt and a bumper sticker!

Puppy therapy. In the words of Charles Schultz, “Happiness is a warm puppy.” We agree.  There is nothing quite like the unconditional love of a furry friend.  At Slothin’ headquarters, we have five dogs that keep us all going when life gets tense.  Dogs just seem to know when you need a little comic relief, which is always welcome when you’re stressed out.  Don’t have a pup of your own?  Find your closest animal shelter, and play with a dog that needs some lovin’ as much as you do.

This pup is really Slothin'. How can you resist that face??

Impromptu Dance Party. We all know how good it feels to put on your favorite music, to sit back and relax and let the familiar tunes wash away whatever you need it to.  But mid-week, or in any stressful, un-slothy moment, you can get physical manifestations of that stress that leaves you wanting to jump out of your skin.  So dance it out!  Put on your favorite album, pump up the volume to 11, grab your family, friends, or dog, and dance around the house.  Don’t worry about your moves, no one is judging.

Breakfast for Dinner. Saturday morning is the most relaxing time of the week, thanks to sleeping in and pancakes.  A great way to break the ho-hum routine of the week is to have breakfast for dinner.  Bring a little bit of Saturday morning to a stressful Wednesday night, and you’ll be surprised at how much you just want to smile.

Happy Friday, Sloth Nation. Congrats for making it through another work week, hope it wasn’t too crazy! Tonight is a night to hang with friends and SLOTH.  Take a deep breath, and mull over today’s Slothism:

“For fast-acting relief, try slowing down.”

Enjoy your Friday night, and sleep in tomorrow. And maybe Sunday too.

Some of the Slothin Crew, getting ready for the weekend. We hope you enjoy yours.

What it is, Sloth Nation! We hope everyone is doing well, enjoying the beautiful days of summer.  It’s been HOT where we are, almost too hot to go outside, but we’ve stayed cool by Slothin’ all day. How have you all been coping?

This past weekend, the Slothwear crew went tubing down the Farmington River.  It was gorgeous outside, and it felt great to be floating down the river with family and friends, taking in the beauty of nature.  The water was low, since it’s been so hot, so the trip took almost two hours.  While some people were anxious at the slow pace, the Slothwear crew was in it’s element.  Remember, here in Sloth Nation, we like to slow things down so we can appreciate the good things in life.

That relaxing day reminded all of us that that not everything has to be useful, not everything has to lead to something more—that sometimes, for no reason and with no purpose, you can just lay back and Sloth.  Seek out experiences that can get you right down to Slothin’, no matter how long it takes.

Can you sloth?

WHAT IT IS? So you’re taking the time to read our blog.  WHAT IT SHOULD BE. Welcome to the birth of a nation-Sloth Nation. Here, we move through life a little slower, taking some extra time to appreciate the simple things along the way – family, good friends, and great times.  There is a sloth that lives within each of us.  FIND YOUR INNER SLOTH and let him show you the way. At Sloth Nation, we believe that so much of what we get out of life is a result of the attitude we bring into it.  Slothin’, it’s a state of mind.  Can you sloth? Visit our website at www.canyousloth.com.  In the meantime, post a comment below and let us know what Slothin’ means to you.
